A Lady in Waiting…..
The Lady in question being La Lune, of course.
And so it begins. The days of lying on freezing slabs or soaking grass with a pair of binoculars glued to the eyes will hopefully soon be a distant happy memory, (although the rheumatism caused by said activity is likely to be a distant future experience).
The helpful night pixies at www.stargazerslounge.com have guided my uninformed hands towards the purchase of a new telescope. Although I hoped to see ice crystals forming on mars, limited funds will mean that for now I will have to be content with ice crystals forming on the lens. It seems that without spending the equivalent of the combined life savings of a small nation on a mount and telescope, then you only expect mediocre results.
So I am buying the best that I can’t afford. Soon.
This blog will hopefully document each and every stage of the learning curve, as well as provide substantial evidence should divorce proceedings commence at any time following the arrival of Espace Visionneuse, who shall be my petite bit on the side, (at least, the whole set up will weigh less than the missus).
So look out Lady Moon, I’m on my way!! If you have anything you wanna hide up there, better make it quick!
